Destruction, violence only ideology of Naxalism: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Sept 20 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Naxalism has only one ideology – destruction and violence - and their strategy has been to garner sympathy for themselves under the guise of human rights.
Interacting with the victims of Naxal violence from Chhattisgarh at his residence here, Shah said the wounds of these victims of violence in Naxal-affected areas are a living symbol of the inhumanity and cruelty of Naxalism.
He said, “Naxalites have not only snatched away the rights of many people for their own benefit, but their violence, their IEDs, their bullets and ammunition have killed many people or made them disabled for life”.
“Those who advocate the human rights of militants killed by security forces do not see the human rights of these people who are forced to live without eyes, hands and legs,” Shah said.
“I am extremely emotional after talking to the sisters and brothers affected by Naxalite violence in Chhattisgarh. I assure all of you that the Modi government is determined to completely eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, and establish peace in your region,” Shah said.
He said due to the policies of the government, Left Wing Extremism has now been restricted to just a few districts in Chhattisgarh.
The Home Minister appealed to the LWEs to abjure the path of violence and join the mainstream of society.
He expressed confidence that with the complete elimination of Left Wing Extremism by March 2026, Bastar will once again become beautiful, peaceful and developed.
Moreover, the victims of Naxalite violence also shared their plights with the Home Minister. UNI RBE SSP
