Despite unrest, 95 pc fiscal budget under MGNREGA spent in Anantnag

Srinagar, Oct 16 (UNI) Despite unrest that has left 86 civilians dead and 10,000 others injured in security force action in the last 100 days in the valley, an amount of Rs 31.14 crore has been utilised under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the current fiscal year in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
An official spokesperson here today said 95 per cent fiscal budget has been spent till date in the district under MGNREGA.
He said under MGNREGA, the available budget was Rs 32.83 crore out of which Rs 31.14 crore have been spend till date.
