UDAIPUR: August 29 was a red-letter day for the denizens of the City of Lakes when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects whose total worth exceeded Rs. 15,000 cr. 


Addressing a public meeting, the Premier reaffirmed his government’s commitment to timely completion of work and added that he believes in delivering results. “It goes without saying that infrastructure ventures are crucial to the nation’s progress. India can no longer afford delay in such enterprises, especially ones related to connectivity. Schemes such as those pertaining to roads, infuse new ener gy into people’s lives,” he averred. 


Recalling initiation of the Golden Quadrilateral by the then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Mr. Modi pointed out that it benefitted cultivators by connecting them to markets. Rajasthan could gain to a great extent from tourism, through better substructure association, which would bring in employment.
