Demolition of Aurangabad's ‘gunthewari’ structures paused ahead of Diwali

Aurangabad, Oct 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Industries Minister Subhash Desai on Monday directed the Aurangabad civic body to postpone the planned demolition of the structures built on the ‘gunthewari’ lands.
Aurangabad Guardian Minister, Desai passed the order owing to the upcoming Diwali festival giving a brief respite from the demolition of structures built on illegal small land holdings known as ‘gunthewari’.
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has planned to raze such commercial establishments located in the city areas of Trimurti Chowk, Jawahar Colony and Akashwani Chowk.
