New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) A BJP MP in Lok Sabha on Wednesday raised a demand from the central government to complete the Ken-Betwa River Link Project as part of the government's Inter-Linking of River (ILR) programme so that irrigation and drinking water can be supplied in the drought-prone areas of Bundelkhand.
The matter was raised by BJP member Virendra Kumar during the Zero Hour in the House.
He said that Bundelkhand often has to face drought and people fail to get sufficient irrigation water, besides drinking waters in rural and semi-urban areas.
