Delhiites experience pleasant weather

New Delhi , Jul 18 (UNI) Delhiites witnessed pleasant weather on Thursday with overcast skies, while maximum temperature settled at 30.4 degrees C, five points below season's average here.

Air quality in the city was 'satisfactory' with an index value of 83 at 1800 hours, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

Rainfal recorded during the day between 0830 hours and 1730 hours was 8.7 mm at Palam , 1.7 mm at Lodhi Road, 3.4 mm at the Ridge area , 6.0 mm at the Sports Complex area.

Till 0830 hours in the morning, it was Palam that received the maximum amount of rain which was 61 mm, as per the Met department.

The sky was generally cloudy through the day while the day began with rain lashing the city.

Relative humidity in the evening at 1730 hours was 73 per cent, said the weatherman.

Moderate rain is expected towards late evening and night with the temperature likely to witness a slight drop.

For Friday, the weatherman has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain and thundershowers with maximum temperature to hover around 31 degrees C.
