Delhi resident dies of cardiac arrest in Sopore

Baramulla, Aug 6 (UNI) A Delhi resident on Thursday died due to massive heart attack in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district, official sources said.
They said a 60-year-old Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, resident of New Delhi suffered a massive heart attack at village Janwara Sopore this morning after which he was immediately rushed to local hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.

Chandigarh Sepr 27 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday described as "sad, disappointing and extremely unfortunate" the Presidential assent granted to three Bills regarding farmers' produce and to the Jammu and Kashmir Bill excluding Punjabi as official language of that state,
In a statement here on Sunday, Mr Badal said that it was really a "dark day for the country" that the honorable President has refused to act as the nation's conscience. "We were very hopeful that the Honorable president would return these Bills to the Parliament for reconsideration as demanded by SAD and later by some other opposition parties too."
Mr Badal said that his party will chalk out the next course of action after due deliberations.
