Delhi polls: AAP leaders Sunita Singh, Umed Singh, Anwar Khan join BJP

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) former Corporation candidate from Khayala ward Sunita Singh, along with former district president of AAP Poorvanchal Shakti Umed Singh and spokesperson from Tilak Nagar Assembly constituency Anwar Khan, joined BJP, here at the party’s unit office on Tuesday.

They joined the party in the presence of BJP Delhi Unit president Manoj Tiwari, National Secretary and State Co-incharge Tarun Chugh and Pradesh Media Head Ashok Goel Devraha.

Mr Tiwari said that the people were disillusioned with the Kejriwal government and the Congress party in Delhi and did not want to see them coming to power again.

“This is the reason why the Bharatiya Janata Party is not only getting immense support of the public but also many leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are joining Bharatiya Janata Party,” he added.

“Kejriwal has cheated the youth, women, farmers, laborers, auto drivers and the common man during his five-year tenure. Every work of the BJP is dedicated to the public and the BJP makes every possible effort to solve their problems,” Mrs Singh said.

“Kejriwal said that the people of Bihar and UP comes to Delhi on a ticket of Rs 500 and leaves after free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh. Poorvanchali has been deeply hurt by this statement and double standard of the Aam Aadmi Party chief. BJP is the only political party that respects the people of every community,” Umeed Singh said.

“Modi Ji gave befitting reply to those who spread lies and confusion about unauthorised colonies and as a result today people are getting ownership rights of their house through registries in Delhi,” Mr Anwar said, added that the BJP would win the election.
