Delhi Police put strict arrangements in place for FIFA U-17 World Cup

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) Delhi Police has made elaborate fool proof arrangements for FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in the national capital.
Chief Public Relation officer of Delhi Police and Special Commissioner Dipendra Pathak told mediapersons on Friday that Delhi Police has made huge and complete preparations for the historic sporting event.
He informed the newspersons that more than two thousand police personnel have been deployed which includes seven units of Central Reserve Police Force. Other than SWAT teams of the special cell, other teams too have been put on alert in view of possibility of a terror attack during the games.

Mr Pathak reiterated Delhi Police's resolve to hold the event in a secure environment.
He said,''Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik is personally overlooking all the arrangements and under his directions and guidance, they are being implemented.''
The PR officer also informed the mediapersons that Delhi Police is in touch with all concerned agencies so as to avoid any untoward incident when the football carnival is on.
He also said,"It is not appropriate to discuss about any danger of a militant attack."
