Delhi Police files 479 FIRs for violating weekend curfew norms

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) Delhi Police lodged 479 FIRs for violating weekend curfew norms and issued 1320 Covid challans till Sunday morning, as strict restrictions were imposed in the national capital, in view of an exponential rise in Covid-19 cases.
The action was initiated against those, who did not follow the weekend curfew norms. The FIRs were registered under Section 188 of IPC for violating Covid protocol, police said.
Besides, police also registered 234 FIRs for violating night curfew and issued 470 Covid challans from Friday night 10 pm to Saturday morning 5 am.
