Delhi govt approves proposal to revamp M&E unit

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The Delhi government on Tuesday approved the proposal of the Finance & Planning Department to revamp and strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit, to ensure effective design, development and implementation of government policies.
According to a statement of the Delhi Government, the decision was taken by the Cabinet at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The newly created M&E unit will create a roadmap for effective use of modern tools and techniques in Government of Delhi for improved policy making and better delivery of public services. It will help Government to conduct independent surveys and evaluations, enable data analysis and assessment of large government datasets, it stated.
