New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Delhi on Tuesday recorded its hottest day of the season so far with the maximum temperature in the capital city shooting up to 46 degrees Celsius, six degrees above the normal.
The weather office said that the maximum temperature recorded at the Palam Observatory was 46 degree C.
However, the Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the normal.
In the morning, the minimum temperature recorded at the Safdarjung observatory was 26.2 degrees Celsius, the Met Department said. However, the minimum recorded by Palam observatory was 27.4 Degree C, one degree above normal.
The Met Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development on Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 44 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
