Delhi Court grants bail to DU Professor arrested for his alleged objectionable post on Gyanvapi mosque

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) A Delhi Court granted bail to Delhi University Professor Ratan Lal arrested for his alleged objectionable social media post on claims of a 'Shivling' in the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi.
Advocate Vineet Jindal filed a complained against Lal by alleging that Lal had recently shared a derogatory, inciting and provocative tweet on the Shivling.
After registering the FIR under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) and 295A (deliberate act to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion) of Indian Penal Code, Delhi Police arrested Professor Ratan Lal and produced in Tis Hazari Court.
