Delhi CM's Principal Secy arrest: BJP accuses Kejriwal of shielding corrupt Babus

New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) Shortly after the arrest of Delhi government's Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar by the CBI in Rs 50 crore scam, the BJP today demanded his suspension, while accusing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of shielding corrupt Babus (bureaucrats).
In a statement, Leader of Opposition and BJP MLA Vijender Gupta said,''AAP government came to power promising the people of Delhi zero tolerance towards corruption. However, it has been caught time and again politicising the issue of corruption for political gains while protecting the corrupt leaders, officers and others.''
He said the CBI had prima facie evidence against Kumar of abuse of power in a Rs 50 crore scam, yet Mr Kejriwal was seen trying to obstruct the investigation and making political statements to gain sympathy for his errant officer.
