New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met with Chess World Championship Silver Medallist Tania Sachdev on Tuesday and congratulated her for bringing laurels to the country by winning a silver medal at the World Chess Championship, the office of Chief Minister said.
Expressing pride over Sachdev's feat, Kejriwal said that his government will work towards ensuring that Chess regains its popularity among people, it added.
Upon learning that Tania Sachdev hadn’t been felicitated by the state for her performance yet. Kejriwal immediately called Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister Manish Sisodia in and directed him to felicitate her as per protocol and also ensure all kinds of possible support to her.
