Delhi cabinet approves Revenue Dept's proposal to  amend Scheme for grant of ex-gratia to families of martyrs

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Department of Revenue's proposal for amendment in the Scheme for grant of ex-gratia payment to war widows, war disabled, prisoners of war/missing person in war/operation/Delhi Police personnel/Home Guards etc and families of those who have lost their lives in defined uniformed services during the course of duty.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In furtherance of the Cabinet decision of July 24 on the above mentioned policy, families of such personnel would also be covered in this policy if their permanent address recorded at the time of joining the service is Delhi or is posted in Delhi at the time of action/incident or the family has been residing in Delhi for the last atleast five years.
