Delhi BJP complaints to EC against Sisodia for violation of code of conduct

New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) The Delhi BJP today filed a complaint with the State Election Commission against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for alleged violation of model code of conduct by appealing to the people for votes when polling for the MCD elections was on.
In his complaint, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari alleged that during an interview with a private news channel, Mr Sisodia appealed to the people to vote for the AAP in the MCD elections.
Polling for the three MCDs ended at 1730 hrs with a voter turnout of around 54 per cent. Polling was held in 270 wards of the three municipal corporations. In two wards, the election was postponed due to the death of candidates.
