Delhi Assembly Winter Session saw reduced paper usage: Speaker

New Delhi, Jan 12 (UNI) During the recent winter session of the Delhi Assembly, an internal assessment has shown significant environmental and financial savings due to reduced paper usage in one legislative session, Speaker Vijender Gupta has said.
Speaker stated that the savings were achieved by avoiding the printing of question papers, Bills and other official documents. As per the assessment, the Question Branch alone accounted for 2 lakh 24 thousand pages, with 320 questions printed at an average of 10 pages per question and 70 copies each.
"The Bills Branch accounted for 64 thousand pages, covering four Bills of about 100 pages each, with 160 copies per Bill." he said
