New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) The Congress on Tuesday released its third and final list of five candidates for the Delhi Assembly polls.
The grand old party has fielded former Rajya Sabha MP Parvez Hashmi from the Okhla Assembly seat.
Former Congress MLA Mukesh Sharma will contest from the Vikaspuri seat, Mohinder Chaudhary from Mehrauli, Parveen Rana from Bijwasan and Jai Prakash Panwar from the Madipur (SC) Assembly constituency.
The Congress on Monday released its second list of seven candidates for the Delhi Assembly polls, fielding first timer Romesh Sabharwal from the New Delhi seat against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Congress on Saturday evening announced its first list of 54 candidates for the polls to the 70-member Assembly to be held on February 8.
The process of nomination for the candidates, which started after issuance of notification on January 14, will close today.
The scrutiny will be held on January 22, while withdrawals of candidature will be allowed till January 24.
On January 14, the AAP declared its candidates from all 70 assembly seats.
The results of the polls will be declared on February 11.
