Delay in resolving disputes give rise to uncertainty in Telecom sector: TDSAT Chairman

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) chairman Justice Aftab Alam today said telecommunication is a fast evolving sector and delay in resolving its disputes give rise to uncertainty.
Addressing a seminar on Adjudication, Regulation, and Telecommunication (ART) of Convergence here, Justice Alam termed 3G Intra Circle Roaming, unresolved adjusted gross revenue and inclusion of broadcasting under TDSAT as some ‘long pending issues.'
"My concerns are more fundamental. How far present system can contribute to the growth of the sector? The Telecommunication sector’s development is very fast and delay in resolving its disputes give rise to uncertainty, which could be detrimental for its growth,’’ he said.
