Lucknow, Nov 12 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh here alleged that decision of ‘President's Rule’ in Maharashtra was taken under pressure from Narendra Modi government.
Speaking with mediapersons here on Tuesday, Mr Singh said Maharashtra Governor had asked National Congress Party, the third largest party (NCP) to form government after the BJP and the Shiv Sena failed to prove their mandate. But Governor recommended for President's Rule before prescribed time given to NCP to prove the mandate which shows that decision was taken under pressure from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
