Death toll in Jallikattu events rose to 6 in TN

Madurai, Jan 18 (UNI) The death toll in the annual ''Jallikattu'' (bull taming) events being held at different parts of Tamil Nadu rose to six, so far with a spectator gored by a bull succumbing to injuries at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) here on Saturday.
The victim, G.Azhagar (27) who was gored by a ferocious bull while watching the event held at Avaniyapuram in Madurai on Wednesday, died despite undergoing treatment for the past two days in the Intensive Care Unit of GRH.
On Thursday, a 40-year-old bull owner namely P.Murugan was gored to death by his own bull during the “erudhattam” (a variant of Jallikattu) organized unlawfully at Anjetty village in Krishnagiri district.
