Dead elephant in MTR reserve was burnt alive

Coimbatore, Jan 22 (UNI) In a shocking incident that went viral on the social media, a group of people were seen throwing a burning cloth on an old elephant which had died two days back in Masinagudi in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) in Nilgris district.

The video of miscreants throwing burning tyre on the tusker went viral on social media on Friday following which the forest officials formed special teams and detained two persons, including the owner of a private resort.
