DC tests preparedness for better disaster management in winter season

Dharamshala, Nov 29 ( UNI) District Collector, Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal reviewed the preparedness of the concerned departments for better management of natural calamity and better handling of any emergency arising due to possible snowfall in high altitude areas in the district during winter.
He held a meeting with the officials of various departments at the Deputy Commissioner's office, Dharamshala on Tuesday and discussed the measures to deal with the situation of heavy snowfall and losses due to it during the winter season. He has asked the concerned departments to make adequate pre-arrangements for the safety of public money and all officers to be fully prepared in case of any kind of disaster in winter.
As a pre-preparation, Dr. Nipun Jindal instructed to ensure adequate storage and availability of food items and essential life-saving medicines in snow prone areas. He said that generally the big and small Bhangal area and Mcleodganj area of ​​the district are affected by snowfall. Necessary machinery has been kept ready in these areas apart from adequate storage of food items and essential life saving medicines.
