DC reviews restoration works in disaster-hit areas of Indore

Indore, Nov 16 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa on Sunday conducted an extensive tour of the disaster-affected areas in the Indora Assembly constituency. Local MLA Malendra Rajan accompanied him during the visit.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the Dhangu-Majra road, the road leading to Jagat Giri Ashram, various affected sites in Toki panchayat, and the under-construction Mini Secretariat building. He said that Indora was among the worst-hit regions during the recent spell of heavy rains and related calamities.
DC Bairwa informed that now that the immediate threat from the disaster has subsided, the priority is to ensure swift restoration of all damaged locations. He added that estimates for most of the required restoration works have been prepared, and construction activities at several sites will begin shortly.
