DC reviews arrangements for procurement of wheat in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, Apr 20 (UNI) Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Saturday said that the district administration is committed for ensuring smooth and hassle free wheat procurement in the ongoing season to facilitate the farmers.
The Deputy Commissioner, who visited the new grain market to review arrangements made for wheat procurement here, said that as compared to last year’s purchase of 5.39 lakh metric ton, in current marketing season 5.50 lakh metric tons was expected in the year 2019-20.
He said that the district administration would lift every single grain of wheat in a smooth and hassle free manner, during the ongoing marketing season. He said that farmer would not be allowed to face any sort of problem while selling their produce.
