DC asks officials to serve the people with utmost zeal and spirit

Jalandhar, Jan 1 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday called upon all the officers and officials of the district administration to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication in the coming New Year to facilitate people coming for their day-to-day administrative work.
Addressing the officers and officials after bhog of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, organized by the staff of office to welcome the New Year, here at the District Administrative Complex on Tuesday, the Deputy Commissioner said that all the officers/ officials must clear the files pertaining to public interest at the earliest so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience in availing citizen centric services. He said that the New Year fills us with new hopes and renewed determination to serve the masses with missionary zeal. Mr. Sharma said that on the maiden day of New Year every officers and officials must vow to serve the people with more humility and righteousness, to ensure that they do not face any sort of problem in getting their day-to-day works done.
The Deputy Commissioner said that every civil servant was duty-bound to serve the people, for which concerted efforts must be made by all of them. Patting the officers and officials for doing exemplary work in 2018, the Deputy Commissioner said that this glorious tradition needs to be upheld in coming year also. He said that they must perform their duty diligently so that masses could be benefited from the pro-people policies of the Punjab government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Wishing the officers/officials a happy and prosperous New Year, Mr. Sharma expressed hope that they all would excel in their work during the coming year.
