DBS India appoints Niraj Mittal as head of Institutional Banking

Mumbai, Jun 14(UNI) DBS Bank India (DBS India), part of Asia’s foremost financial services group DBS Group Holdings Limited, today announced the appointment of Niraj Mittal as the Managing Director and Head of Institutional Banking in India.
In his new role, Niraj will be responsible for scaling up business with institutional banking clients by both driving new client acquisition and deepening existing relationships. Based in Mumbai, Niraj will report to Jeanette Wong, Group Executive and Head of Institutional Banking Group in Singapore and Surojit Shome, CEO of DBS India.
Niraj joined DBS on jUNE 13 from The Royal Bank of Scotland N.V. (RBS) where he served as its Managing Director and Head of Institutional Banking business, North India. He was also concurrently the head of RBS India’s oil & gas sector franchise.
In a career spanning 28 years, Niraj brings with him extensive experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking with several leading international banks. Apart from RBS, he was also with ABN Amro Bank and ANZ Grindlays Bank. He started his career with ANZ Grindlays bank, India as a Management Trainee, and went on to undertake stints across credit, retail banking and trade operations.
