Day chill intensifies ahead of another spell of snow in Kashmir, Drass freezes as minus 22 degree

Srinagar, Jan 17 (UNI) The chilly weather conditions have intensified as the day temperature settled several degrees below normal due to overcast conditions in Kashmir valley, where another spell of snow has been predicted during the next six days from Friday.
However, the night temperature improved at majority of the places in the valley, barring world famous ski resort of Gulmarg and tourist resort of Pahalgam, and settled above normal due to cloudy skies.
Meanwhile, people continued to shiver in Ladakh, where the border town of Drass was the coldest place in the region at minus 22 degree, followed by neighbouring Kargil, where the mercury dipped and settled at minus 20.2 degree.
