Bangalore, Feb 6 (UNI) Chris Morris, who played for the now-banned Chennai Super Kings turned out to be the highest gainer with Delhi Daredevils splurging a whopping Rs 7 cr for the South African pacer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions currently underway here today. Morris' base price was Rs 50 lakh but the Daredevils, which had a bad last couple of seasons, had other plans as they first bought rising keeper-batsman Sanju Samson for Rs 4.2 crore before going for the Proteas seamer. Star batsman Yuvraj Singh, who has been bought by the Sunrisers Hydderabad for Rs 7 crore, will play for the fifth different side in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). From a whopping Rs 14 crore in 2014 to Rs 16 crore in 2015 and now down to Rs 7 crore, Yuvraj is not the only one who value has gone down among franchises as wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik has also moved southward from Rs 12.5 crores in 2014 (DD) to Rs 10.5 crores in 2015 (RCB) and now to Rs 2.3 crores for the Gujarat Lions. Veteran pacer Ashish Nehra, who has just made a come back to the national side during the Down Under tour was also bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 5.5 crore while Haryana's Mohit Sharma goes to for a whopping Rs 6.5 crore to Kings XI Punjab. Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who played for the banned-Rajasthan Royals since the inception of the IPL will now play for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was bought for a whopping Rs 9.5 crore.
