DAK demands blanket ban on private practice by doctors in J&K

Srinagar, Apr 22 (UNI) Expressing serious concern over lack of emergency and trauma care in peripheral hospitals, the Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has demanded a blanket ban on private practice of doctors in the state.
A spokesperson of the DAK said here this afternoon that a delegation led by its President Nisar ul Hassan met Health and Medical Education Minister Bali Bhagat.
He said the Minister was informed that it is the delay in treatment that is responsible for deaths among emergency and trauma patients who otherwise could be saved by timely intervention.
