Dahanu man gets 10 yrs under POCSO for sodomising teenage boy

Palghar, Dec 5 (UNI) A 33-year-old man from Dolarpada of Asawali in Dahanu taluka who was found guilty of the offences punishable under the POCSO Act was convicted on Thursday and sentenced to ten year rigorous imprisonment by the Palghar district court.
In his order, the District Judge SS Gulhane and fined the accused Rajesh Shingada, a collective sum of Rs. 12,000.
The judge in his order stated that the prosecution has successfully proved all the charges under sections 4 and 8 of the POCSO Act and also 363,377 and 506 of the IPC against the accused beyond all reasonable doubts the order said.
Appearing for the prosecution the Additional Public Prosecutor DR Tare told the court that it was on a fateful day March 12, 2019 in the night at about 23.59 took the victim boy aged 13 to the nearby jungle and dragged him to the hut in the farm and stripped him naked and raped him and sodomized him under threat the court was told.

AIFF to be held from Feb 5
