Dacoits loot Siddha practitioner's house in South TN

Tenkasi, Sep 19 (UNI) In a daring daylight robbery, a gang of six unidentified men robbed gold jewels weighing around 14 sovereigns from the house of a Siddha practitioner at knife-point after tying him and his brother with a rope at Mela Meignanapuram village near Courtallam in the district on Saturday.
Police said the gang came to the house of Ravindhran, a Siddha practitioner under the guise of buying his house after knowing that he was attempting to sell it. Even as the Siddha practitioner was negotiating with them, the gang pulled out knives and threatened him to part with the valuables.
The dacoits then tied Ravindhran and his brother Dhanapalan, who was also present in the house with ropes and stole the gold jewels. After threatening the duo not to raise alarm, the gang sped in their car.
