Cyclonic storm damages Saring village in Nagaland

Kohima, Sep 22 (UNI) At least 22 houses were damaged after a squall, a cyclonic storm, hit Saring village at the Assam-Nagaland border in Mangkolemba sub-division under Mokokchung district on Sunday evening uprooting trees and utilities.

According to an assessment report submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung by Saringyim (Nokpu ‘B’) Village Council on damage of houses and properties,the farms and plantation of at least 16 farmers were affected by the cyclone.

Sikkim, April 19 (UNI) Voting for lone Lok Sabha and 32 assembly seats in Sikkim completed peacefully on Friday. As per the Election Commission, till 5 p.m. 68.06 per cent of 4.64 lakh electorate exercised their franchise.
