Cyclonic circulation over Southwest Bay of Bengal; heavy rain likely in parts of AP

Amaravati, Oct 12 (UNI) An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Tamil Nadu coast, extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre said today.
In its daily weather report, the department stated that the cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the north Tamil Nadu coast up to 3.1 km above mean sea level has merged with the existing circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Tamil Nadu coast.
The Met Centre said that conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from the remaining parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar; entire Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh; and from some parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Telangana during the next 24 hours. The monsoon is also expected to withdraw from northeast India over the subsequent two to three days.
