Cyclone warning issued for Aizawl

Aizawl, May 25 (UNI) The Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl district, Nazuk Kumar on Saturday issued a cyclone warning, urging residents to take precautions in light of a potential cyclone developing in the southeast Bay of Bengal.
In an official notification, Kumar relayed information from the State Meteorological Centre, which warned that the emerging cyclone is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to Mizoram. The forecast includes gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 to 70 km per hour, likely to affect parts of the state on Sunday and Monday.
Kumar advised the people of Aizawl district not to panic but to be prepared and take necessary precautions against the anticipated cyclone.
