Cyclone Jawad: Administration warns fishing community and tourists not to venture near sea in coastal Bengal

Digha, Dec 2 (UNI) The administrations in coastal districts of West Bengal have warned the fishing community and travellers not to go near the sea in view of the cyclonic storm Jawad likely to hit Odisha and parts of south Bengal late this week.
Alerts have been sounded around the tourist spots of Digha, Mandarmani, Tajpur and even in the Sundarbans region with warning to the fishing community and travellers not to visit near the coastline from this weekend up to Monday as the storm Jawad is likely to hit all the coastal regions of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Bengal.
The emergency services in the districts of Midnapore, both east and west, have geared up to face any eventuality with full time alert.
