Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) The Cyclonic Storm 'Gaja' over Westcentral
and adjoining East-central and Southeast Bay of Bengal moved
further nearly westwards and was inching towards North Tamil Nadu
coast, even as the Tamil Nadu government has put in place all
precautionary measures in coastal districts to meet the situation.

now lay centered over Westcentral and adjoining East-central
and Southeast Bay of Bengal, about 740 km east-northeast of

further into a severe Cyclonic Storm during the next 24 hours
and maintain the intensity during the subsequent 24 hours'
the IMD said.
'Thereafter, while moving west-southwestwards, it is also
likely to weaken gradually and cross the North Tamilnadu
coast between Nagappattinam and Chennai as a Cyclonic
Storm during the forenoon of November 15', it added.
Under its influence, heavy rain was likely at isolated places
over north coastal Tamilnadu and south Coastal Andhra
