Cyber defence centre launched

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) A unique Cyber Defence Competency Centre (CDCC) set up jointly by Talent Sprint, India’s leading career accelerator for Youth in association with Atlantis Analytics and Sypris Electronics was launched by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana common Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan at a function, here this evening.
NASSCOM Chairman B V Mohan Reddy, and Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma were among the prominent dignitaries who participated in the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Narasimhan lauded the three agencies for taking up an important initiative which was the need of the day.
He said that the computer security has become a difficult component as computer part of every aspect of life. Cyber attack was more dangerous than terrorist acts and India was lagging behind in preventing Cyber attacks.
NASSCOM Chairman B V Mohan Reddy said the Cyber Security market size would be 35 billion dollars by 2025, and of that India 's share would be only USD one billion. In regard to Cyber Security , NASSCOM had started National Cyber Security Council in 2008 and recently the Cyber Security Task Force.
Atlantics Analytics CEO Rajeet Mishra said “ We are a hug potential in addressing workforce skills gap in Cyber Security, given that targeted attacks aimed at Indian enterprises and consumers are on the rise. This partnership will focus on developing pioneering models for scaling up capacity and enhancing employability through assessments and certifications”.
Talentsprint CEO Dr Santanu Paul said “ We are fully committed to empowering one million professionals by 2020. This partnership will play a pivotal role in attaining this vision and bringing world class cyber defense practices and experiential learning to the Indian talent ecosystem”
With internet becoming critical to business across sectors, the need for a powerful cyber security system, that is equipped to deal with complex internet crimes, cannot be overemphasized. According to a report, India will need one million cyber security professionals by 2020.
