Cultivation of bamboo is environmentally and economically beneficial

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 30 (UNI) Bamboo cultivation is environmentally and economically beneficial, so the farmers will not only get sustainable financial benefits but also protect the environment. The dignitaries gave guidance in the departmental review meeting on Thursday.
A departmental review meeting of the Bamboo and Orchard Plantation Program under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) was held today at the Collectorate Office here.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Environment and Climate Change Department Praveen Darade, Director General of MNREGA Nand Kumar, MNREGA Commissioner Ajay Gulhane, Divisional Commissioner Madhukar Ardad, Collector Dilip Swamy, and Director of Climate Change Action Cell Abhijit Ghorpade, among all the concerned officials.
