Cuba reports 2,967 Covid cases

Havana, Jan 20 (UNI/Xinhua) Cuba recorded 2,967 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths, taking the national caseload to 1,008,616 and death toll to 8,348, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health informed.

The ministry on Wednesday said that there were currently 17,312 active cases of Covid-19 on the island, 42 of them being treated in intensive care units.

The province of Holguin led the daily count with 485 new infections, followed by Las Tunas with 267 and Sancti Spiritus with 216.
