Crude steel production 9.27 lac tonnes in Jan 2016; JSW Steel

New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) Steel major, JSW Steel Ltd today said its crude steel production lowers down in January by 9.27 lac tonnes.
Due to planned shutdown of one blat furnace each at all three locations including Vijaynagar, Dolvi and Salem, for capacity enhancement which are expected to resume production during the month of February 2016, said the company.
JSW Steel is a part of the diversified 11 billion dollar JSW group which has presence in Steel, Energy,Infrastructure,Cement and JSW Ventures.JSW Steel is the leading integrated steel company in India with an installed steel making capacity of 14.3 MTPA,reported the company.
It's plant at Vijaynagar is one of the largest single location steel producing facility in India with a capacity of 10 MTPA.
The company has a strong product assortment covering the entire gamut of flat and long steel products manufactured through technology in the form of corex and blast furnaces.
