New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) A day ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the West Bengal on December 19-20, the Central Reserve Police Force has written a letter to the West Bengal DGP seeking adequate arrangement of the state police during his proposed visit, a source in the security set up said here on Friday.
Union Home Minister is a Z plus protectee and has Advance Security Liaison facility.
Under ASL category, an advance team coordinates with security stakes holders for well coordinated security arrangement during the protectee’s visit to the concerned areas.
In the letter, the CRPF has also listed the security lapses during the recent visit of BJP president JP Nadda to the state on December 10.
As per sources, the CRPF has written that during the incident of attack on Nadda adequate police deployment was not available. The CRPF has also given details about the incidents which took place on December 9-10.
Mr Nadda is accorded with Z category of security of the CRPF on December 10 his convoy was allegedly attacked by the TMC workers in Diamond Harbour area of Kolkata in which he escaped but the Party General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and State BJP chief Dilip Ghosh were hurt.
The Centre had taken a stern view on the incident and sought report from State Government and and the Governor as well.
Union Home Ministry has called the three IPS officers of who were responsible for BJP Chief’s security, were called for central deputation and their posting order has already been issued.
