CRPF constables injured in Naxal incidents

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Dec 2 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was today seriously injured in an encounter with Naxals in a forest of Turpunguda village in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Sukma district, police said.
A team of CRPF’s 201 Cobra Battalion had set out on patrol in the forest when Naxals opened fire on them. Constable Rajesh Tomar was injured during the firing. Police claimed that it gunned down two Naxals but no bodies could be recovered.
In another instance, a joint police team was engaged in combing operation near Hiroli village when the feet of CRPF’s 2014 Cobra Battalion’s two constables Mumendra Kumar and Tarun Kumar got stuck into a spike hole. The injured constables were provided primary treatment at Bijapur and referred to Mekaj.
