Cross-Border arms smuggling network busted in Ferozepur, two arrested

Chandigarh, Nov 11 (UNI) In a major breakthrough against cross-border crime, Ferozepur Police have dismantled a Pakistan-linked weapon smuggling network and arrested two key suspects, Gurpreet Singh alias Gori and Vikramjeet Singh alias Vicky, during an intelligence-led operation.
According to officials, the police seized six Glock 9mm pistols, four magazines, and four live cartridges from their possession. During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that Vikramjeet Singh had direct links with a Pakistan-based arms trafficker involved in illegal weapon smuggling. Acting on his disclosure, police recovered two additional Glock pistols.
Investigators said the accused confessed to supplying firearms to local contacts on the instructions of his Pakistani handlers. His arrest also helped police trace an earlier case involving the procurement of an AK-47 rifle from the same cross-border network.
