Crompton forays into air purifiers segment

New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL), a leading player in consumer electrical products, on Friday forayed into a new segment with the launch of a range of air purifiers ‘Air Doctor’, ‘IonicPro’ and ‘Therapure’.
These products will first be made available in Delhi-NCR and subsequently across the country.
According to a company press release, these latest offerings have high Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) and come with advanced High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) technology and other filters which effectively remove indoor air pollutants like pollens, allergens, dust, bad odour, germs, irritants etc., thus ensuring fresh and clean air indoors.
With rising concerns over air pollution in India, especially in Delhi and NCR, people are breathing in more harmful air than they think, increasing their susceptibility to a host of conditions. As winter sets in, the conditions become much worse and air purifiers are getting increasingly relevant by the day.
Talking about the need for air purifiers, Mr. Mathew Job, CEO, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) said, “With the pollution levels rising at an alarming rate, air purifiers are fast becoming a necessity for healthy living. We have always strived to fulfil the needs of consumers by offering the best products. As we are already a leader in many household electrical products, we wanted to strengthen our portfolio further by entering into the air purifier segment”.
‘Air Doctor’ , ‘IonicPro’, and ‘Therapure’, are suitable for room sizes of 165 to 465 sq. ft. ( 15.4 to 43.2 Sq. Mtrs) and their MRPs are Rs 29,950; Rs 19,000 and Rs 15,500 respectively.
