Crime Branch to probe voice clip of Swapna Suresh

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 21 (UNI) Kerala DGP Loknath Behra on Saturday informed that the Crime Branch will investigate into the alleged voice clip of Swapna Suresh, an accused in the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case in the State.
This was followed by a letter received from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to DGP (Prisons) Rishiraj Singh seeking a probe into the voice clip. Later, the Jail DGP handed over the letter to Loknath Behra for taking appropriate action on the matter.
In the audio message widely circulated in social media, Swapna Suresh allegedly said she was forced by the officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to provide statements against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to implicate him in the gold smuggling case. She also alleged that ED officials forced her to sign some statements without reading it.
