Cricket South Africa postpones domestic games ahead of India series

Johannesburg, Dec 2 (UNI) Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday postponed all three matches of Round 4 Division Two CSA 4-Day domestic series following the emergence of COVID-19 variant Omicron in the country.
The development comes ahead of the scheduled India tour of South Africa. The teams are slated to play three-match Test series and One-Day International series followed by four T20I games from December 17 to January 26.
"The competition is not being held in a Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) and in the last couple of days, some positive COVID-19 test results have emerged following team pre-arrival testing sessions," CSA said in a statement.

Canberra, Jan 20 (UNI/Xinhua) Australia's Sports Minister has announced that the professional surfing stars who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 stand "no chance of getting into the country."
Richard Colbeck said Wednesday that everyone traveling to Australia for World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) events in Victoria and Western Australia in May will have to be fully inoculated against COVID-19 or prove a contraindication to the vaccine to receive a medical exemption.
