Cricket betting gang busted, 3 held in Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (UNI) The City North Zone Task Force team have busted an organised Hi-tech cricket betting gang, by arresting three persons including two brothers at Chikkadpally police station limits here on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, along with local police raided the betting premises at Vivek nagar in Chikkadpally, and apprehended the three accused while accepting bets from punters for match between Sydney Sixers Vs Melbourne Stars, Big Bash League 2018-19 at Sydney Cricket Stadium and Test match between India and Australia at Melbourne Cricket Stadium.
The team seized Rs 41.20 lakh from them.One Television set, set-top box, six Cell phones were also seized from them,police said in a statement.
