CPI (ML) preparing to contest six Lok Sabha seats in Bihar: Deepankar

Patna, Dec 21 (UNI) Communist Party of India (ML) general secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya today said that his party was preparing to field candidates in six seats in 2019 Lok Sabha election.
Mr Bhattacharya told newspersons here that CPI (ML) would consider contesting fewer seats as the party was in favour of a total consensus among all allies of the grand alliance on the issue of seat sharing. The CPI (ML) has constituted a committee of senior party leader K D Yadav and polit buro members Dhirendra Jha and Raja Ram Singh to hold discussions with other allies of the grand alliance for formulating a seat sharing formula, he added.
CPI (ML) general secretary said that his party was preparing to contest three seats in Jharkhand. A committee of two party leaders had been constituted for holding discussions with other secular parties on the issue of seat sharing in the neighbouring state. Similarly, CPI (ML) is also playing an active role to forge a broader unity among left parties in West Bengal ahead of Lok Sabha election, he added.
